Fair Isle Autumn Birdwatching Autumn 2024

Blue Throat - such a lovely bird.
About the size of a European Robin.
Bluer than most during Autumn migration.
very confiding and didn't mind having his photos taken,
while foraging in the Sheep pen at Barkland.

Blue Throat - male with the Autumn Blues.

Yellow-browed Warbler on my driftwood tree.

Black Redstart

It was beautiful, clear & bright because of cold breezes from the north.

Tennessee Warbler - a lost American.
A Lifer and Island tick!

Lanceolated Warbler
A rare Fair Isle speciality bird from Siberia.
I had it relocate in my Garden for a week.

Hoopoe
Everyone's favorite when it stays around and lets people see it's wow factor.

Daurian Shrike - Isabelline Shrike
A Lifer & Fair Isle Tick!

Black Guillemot already in Winter plumage.

Red-necked Grebe

Autumn seems in a hurry to be Winter.
but we have a few more weeks of Migration and more birds to come!
