Christmas Tree Party - The Pantomime - Boxing Day & useless "Crap" I got for Christmas.

True to form, it is impossible to get a clear photo of true mythical figures or beasts.

Boxing Day the weather was so crap we played a lot of cards... here we are playing Canasta?
Later in the evening we went over to Elena's and I was given this as a present?
Great... just what I needed more useless Crap!
LOL! Crap in a tin, in Romania Carp is Crap?

With a bit better weather on 27th we braved an outing with more gales forecast for Wednesday.

The Christmas Tree Party in the Hall

Pantomime - Robin Hood and the Tall Ships
A complete farce of the story of Robin Hood bartering the Sheriff of Nottingham's horse for a better hat while moving to Fair Isle during the Tall Ships event and then falling in love and becoming a crofter?

Sheriff of Nottingham, 3 Merry Men, Fair Isle Crofter/Knitter, Robin Hood, Florrie & Jimmy as themselfs.

Fair Islander "Lise Sinclair?" & "Robin Hood" in new Kep.

It all made prefect sense... more like a documentary in it's historical value.

Sheep Hill Dance! Woo Hoo!

Joyce, Dave & Liz
and many more smiling faces
shown all night.

Wear what ever comes out of the bag game!

Neil is in the Hood!

This is my "AMAZING" gift from Liz & Henry
A water colour/painting by Brian Small of my Citril Finch
Special thank to Brian who was a guest at our B&B last Autumn

Find a Citril Finch painting under the Christmas tree is almost as good as finding one in Britain!

A White Christmas was had out to sea as it was not blue!
The gales continued all day and into the night Christmas mass at Church was even cancelled due to bad weather. but with winds from the south east it seemed quite warm for December.

Salty spray in the air and on the windows... that is as close to a white Christmas as we could get this year.

Cheers & Merry Christmas!

Getting ready... Nice Day in December

Sunrise 9:00am on the golf course

A peaceful sunrise.

Pink December morning light on the South Lighthouse - Fair Isle

The light & colours changes so fast at that time of the morning

We had had several wicked storms! the wind and salt has burned all the Sea Ivory Lichen a rusty red.

Robin & Tailless Dunnock (ringed) in the garden.
The Dunnock is so funny it looks like a tiny Water Rail

This Blackbird was eating this unwanted present that someone left in my Garden...
Illustrating quite well that many migrant birds have a hard time finding a decent meal this time of year.

I found this Viking figure on the South Harbour beach at the bottom of the cliff where it is said the 50 Spanish Armada crew are buried. OMG! it's Ivory! I thought... only to pick it up and to realize it was old plastic. oh well... it's still sort of a cool thing to find. I would guess it was made in the 1970's and lost by a local boy? Let me know I you have any claims for lost toys?
Plenty of coal for my stocking being unloaded from the Good Shepherd

& the Christmas Trees have arrived!

What's that on the Horizon?

The Russian Navy passing bye...
Battleship and Aircraft Carrier in this photo
but also a supply/research ship? and what looked like a Submarine on the surface trailing behind them.

A bit of a green flash to get into the holiday spirit!

The above Photos have all been taken in the past few days... Cheers!
